helene• French mother tongue, resident in London since 1988 • Studied Foreign Languages and worked in steel and pharmaceutical industry and science publishing • Guides in French, English or both • Particularly interested in London architecture, royal palaces and historic houses, museums and the use of London locations in films • Offers a bespoke and well-balanced approach to all guiding needs


Imogen Rumbold

imogen• Long-time London resident, Imogen has had 30 years practice in the law and enjoys introducing people to the many London legal sites • Widely travelled so she readily appreciates the pleasures (and rare pitfalls) of being a tourist • Loves the opportunities that guiding presents  to show visitors the delights of her adopted city.

janice1b1• Has lived and worked in central London for over 20 years • Loves quirky unusual museums and galleries in hidden parts of the capital • Has developed walks and tours including special spots to eat and drink • Marketing professional who has worked in publishing, financial services, charities and professional organisations • Winner of best British Museum guided tour on qualification in 2009.


Kaare Nielsen

kaare• Kaare tells his stories with a great passion for the quirky details of London life, which stir up the imagination of his audiences • His favourite playgrounds include museums, modern architecture, river walks, art galleries, Dickens, Docklands, Shakespeare and historic pubs • Loves to invent creative itineraries for exploring curious and colourful hidden London gems • Has 18 years of experience as a Tour Leader and Tour Operator for groups visiting London, Britain and USA-Canada • Kaare guides in English and Danish.


Keith Bates

keithbates• Keith was born and raised in the wilds of the north east of England • Spent a decade in Hotel Management in the Lake District before moving to London in the late 1980s • Subsequently self employed as a Property Management businessman • Became a City of London Guide in 2006 and a City of Westminster Guide the following year • Qualified as a London Blue Badge Guide in 2009 and won the prize for the best guided tour of Westminster Abbey • He is a Freeman of the City of London.


Philippa Owen

phillipa• Oxford educated historian and specialist training in History of Art • Experienced gallery guide and qualified teacher • Has a passion for exploring the less known parts of London on foot or on bicycle • Expert on gardens and parks in London and the South East • Themed walks on London churches and writers/artists • A London 'foodie' with an insider's knowledge of markets, fun places to eat and specialist food shops.


Richard Smith

richardLondon resident for 22 years who loves the City's every new development • Language teacher for 25 years, teaching students from 10 to adult • Tour manager for over 20 years, leading groups aged 9 to 90 around London, Britain and abroad • A passion for people and for uncovering the unknown for them • Loves London's links to life in the past and life beyond its limits • Richard speaks German and Russian in addition to English.


Viv Haxby

vivhaxbyGraduated from Durham University and worked as a Headhunter in London and Paris • Has lived in London for 25 years and is passionate about the place • The city’s history, social history and royal associations are what particularly intrigues her • Interested in the stories behind the great aristocratic families and the impact they have had on London’s development • Winner of Overall Student 2009 Guide of the Year.
